Thanks for the great information. We just launched our new site 2 weeks ago and we are getting WMT all set up now. Not easy. But we are getting the basics down. Just order my first WMT for dummies book. So I will have to dive into it and really learn it. The whole setting preferred domain thing is a big question mark for me though. DO you have any information on this?

Such a neat tip. Since many people don’t have time to monitor their website, this will do the trick in checking if their websites are still working. Google Webmaster Tools are really effective and useful.

Oops – as I was following your steps – just discovered that I have 53 not found links — all of course my own pages linking to my other pages (interlinking).
Got lots of work to do – thanks for the tips.

This works, I use the Google webamster tool to keep my site updated all the time.
