I want to point out, that I had a comment submitted (that I rejected). It stated simply:

"great article, hoping you'll let me post a link like you suggested" along with a link.

My suggestion was to post relevant meaningful comments, not just random comments with a link, hence rejection. Sorry.

Thanks for this article. I am new at web marketing and am presently launching my own company. I thought getting google listed was all I had to do do but now I am finding more hours are gong into the web marketing than the hours involved in the product that I am trying to market. An irony I guess. So lots to learn and all of this helps thanks again.

Good post. Just to add. To try and save time, you should try to get good quality “relevant links”. Basically, if you don’t have that much time on your hands, try to get links from sites have a fairly high PR and which is also in the same industry as your own site.

I do agree with you that a site that has pr 0 today will be pr2 or pr 3 tomorrow. But one thing we should consider that relevancy must be there. It does not mean that we should not submit links in to Directory or other sites i just want to say that if a site has good pr it will work definitely.
