IF you use their upload spreadsheets. If you try to do it keyword by keyword, it is a real pain.

Good Luck!
Patrick Soch
Groople.com
Senior Marketing Manager

Paul – It actually is not difficult to assign a custom url to each keyword in the Yahoo platform . . . I posted some thoughts last week about the real benefits yet to come.

Though comScore is sending out initial numbers, the real numbers are going to show themselves as we leverage the creative flexibility and geo targeting. If this is the case that would be by far the biggest flaw - many ecommerce sites live by directing each keyword straight to the search for that product etc. It would kill them

My rep told me that you can’t have each keyword going to a separate URL – or at least you can’t easily manage this – is this true? Yes, Yahoo now allows you to target search ads only to a specific area (localization) but bidding more for localized performance is much more interesting!

On the CON list, you overlooked the adverse affect to brand advertisers who want to promote something unrelated to the search to create some buzz, awareness, or association with their brand (i.e. Jeep bidding on terms like "beetle" or "bug" to coincide with their ad campaign). The quality score, while beneficial to most, means those advertisers have to spend more to appear prominently where their ad is not relevant.

I can’t agree with you on Geographic targeting for which MSN’s geo-optimization is much more useful.
